Contest #9 Kidnap the Trailer This contest will run from June 9th at noon to July 30th 2009 at midnight and it is so easy to enter. I’m really excited that I have my first trailer for the first book in The Mark of a Druid Series and I need your help in spreading the word. Grab the embedded code for the Youtube trailer below and put it on your face book, myspace, yahoo 360, your blog or any where else you can think to show it off. You can also link to the trailer on twitter, make sure you @rhondacarpenter when you do. Then go to this contest announcement and click “participate.” If you are not a member you will need to join the site so I know where to send the prize when your name is drawn. After clicking “participate” paste the link to where you posted the trailer or say I twittered from @your name. If you RT the Trailer you are also eligible. You will be automatically when you do this. Then each time you talk it up, post or RT the trailer go back to “participate” and add the new info to you contest participation post and your name will go in the drawing again. Hello Readers and Listeners, This contest is about kicking off the new website. As we expected transferring to the new format away from wordpress means we could not save the members information. (Your info will always remain private.) This contest is about enrollment, where? Here! All you need to do is enroll on this new site (in the log in area) and when you are done enrolling click on the contest link (on the left menu bar), which will take you to these instructions You want to participate in Contest 7. In the right corner you will see a link that say participate click it and say hello, then tell me what you think of the new site so far. Love it? Hate it it's okay? I want your opinion it is important to me. As we expand and learn how to use the new site there will be a ton of cool things to find here; along with the podcast section there will soon be a store were you can help spread the word by purchasing The Mark of a Druid Items. You can talk to the characters as each on goes up (there are already a few there in the Meet the Character Section.) There you can converse with them and ask them questions or tell them how you love them or love to hate them. The blog will be ongoing and the calendar will start filling up with everything that are happening. News about the next book and sneak previews will be coming up. We have so many ideas and I want you all to come only with me on this wild ride. If you need a new book go check out the authors section where you will find many free podiobooks.com titles. You can hear there promos and catch all the links to these other interesting, great and fun books. We are building the new book site and I got the first look at how it is going to operate! It is very exciting. The new site will go live in the next 3 or 4 weeks. This contest will chose 2 winners on March 29th so get out those art supplies and start up the graphic program While that is happening along side the release of www.podioracket.com. This is a new project for myself and the author of Fractured Horizon, H.E. Roulo, (You can call her Heather) Our first podcast will be going live this week. So tune in to hear us making a racket about the new releases on www.Podiobook.com. You will also get tips and tricks from experience authors and news, contest info and a lot more. These are short podcasts we are doing our best to keep them under 15 minutes no longer than 20 minutes. Contest 6 Drum Roll Please….. One Entry per person, please. T-shirts are created at a minimum of 150 ppi (pixels per inch). To fill the full area, we recommend that you use images that are equal to or larger than the recommended sizes below. For images smaller than these sizes, you should not fill the full area, but will have additional “white space” Pocket (4″ x 4″) = 600 x 600 pixels Horizontal (14″ x 12″) = 2100 x 1800 pixels Vertical (12″ x 14″) = 1800 x 2100 pixels If your image is bigger than these sizes, it’ll turn out even better since it will be printed at an even higher resolution than the minimum The Winners (one for best woman’s and one for best man’s T-shirt) will receive one of their creations and will be featured on the new site as the designer. It is free to listen as a serialized podcast at Podiobooks.com and Itunes, among many other websites all over the web including right on this site www.themarkofadruid.com under the podcast tab. Look for the new interactive and expanded site to be live in the next 3 weeks. It is really looking great and it means no more wordpress log in errors in the theme I chose! Welcome Readers! The Book is doing so good in Sales and Downloads I am thrilled! We are about to kick off the contest for 2009! Look for the contest rules to be posted in the next blog and on http://wwwthemarkofadruid.com this week. Unfortunately the website re-design will not be ready for the contest kickoff . I hope soon after but we will see. In the month of January of 2009 Arlene Radasky author of The Fox http://www.radasky.com and I will be doing a push for Amazon sales for Valentines day so look for those announcements to be coming. Trust me it is a sweetheart of a gift. Apologies to all of the listeners that were waiting for me to work out the ID3Taging issue with Episode 20. It was a few days late going live but is up now and the issue is fixed. Strange as it was. Episode 21 is now also available and we look to be on track for the next episode as well. My holiday house guests have left and traveled home safely. Lots of time this week to edit and plan a strategy for the first month 2009. The Podcast of The Mark of a Druid is winding up, folks, and there is about 33 Episodes in total. Editing will determine the number but that is my best guess at this point. Then what? I can see the end. It is kind of sad and it is exciting because it mean more time to work on When Ethers Descend, Truth Slithers and those really fun things that come up to do when you are involved in the community of writers and podcasters on www.podiobooks.com My local book store here on the mountain contacted me to set up a book signing so I have to get in touch with them after the first and set up a date and do the interviews with the local papers and I will let you all know when it will be.
