Hi all,

Today is the last day of packing. Tomorrow we load the truck/cars and hitch up the trailers. Then Thursday morning the convoy will be on the road moving across country. Can you hear me tapping my foot to get it going. We are very excited about this move. This will be the last post from my desk top for a while. So remember to follow the trip on facebook and twitter.

This has been an extremely busy month. But I am excited to announce we have firm dates and a solid route for the move.

Take off day is June 24th and we hope to cover a lot of ground Watch my twitter feed for where we are stopping and how the trip is going. Some of the big cities we will be traveling through are: Barstow, CA, Flagstaff and Winslow, AZ, Gallop and Abuquerque, NM, Amerillo, TX, and Oklahoma City, OK. But there are lots of small cities all along the route.

I will be posting from my cell phone on the trip as obviously my computer will be off line. It iwll take a bit of time befor eI am set up again in the new place. It is so exciting to be counting the under the 30 day mark on the new and exciting adventure we are about to undertake. The promo for the push across the country will be out this weekend and we will start really spreading the word.

Move day is the 24th of June and we expect to be on the road about 3 days. All things are being handled and I really feel like I have a good plan for this move. The house is packed save what I use every day.

The magnets for the vehicles arrived and turned out great! Have a gander.

Follow along and you could win some very cool schwag, autographed books, posters, and promotional materials. I have been practicing with the new Droid and totally love it! I will even be able to post to the blog along the way from my phone. Is that cool or what?

Get in on the game early. There is lots to tell you all and tons for you to do to help spread the word. I will even be giving Ebooks away from the road.

Time for the big move you hear me right. I am relocating. There are lots of reasons why but the important thing is we have purchased a new home in eastern Oklahoma and will be taking up residence some time in early July we believe. Stay tuned for the details. I will be announcing the Twitter, Facebook, and Second Life contest that could win you a autographed copy of The Mark of a Druid or other prizes to be announced along the way. I am currently working out how the logistics work but so far here is the grand idea.

In a few weeks I will be announcing GO for the push to get everyone to spread the word. If you are off our route you can watch my posts and catch me at a rest stop, gas station or honk if you pass me. I will be posting pictures of the caravan that will move our home from lovely Lake Arrowhead, Ca to Wilburton OK. If you don’t live on our route then you can still get you name into win by spreading the word and making sure I find out. If you spread the word on twitter then make sure @rhondacarpenter is in the tweet. If on facebook you can and you are my friend it will come up in my feed. I will  keep track as your names pile up in the drawing. I may also be using Google maps but need to upgrade my phone before we go. More on that later. I am also going to try and include folks on Second life. Sound fun? Sort of like where’s Waldo except with me and a big truck and a couple of passenger vehicles. I will line out a set of rules as we get closer to GO I just wanted to let you all know what was happening so you could get ready. There will be several ways to win but if you can get a pic of me on the road and there is a big prize. Below is our new driveway!

Yes, it is completely cold and we have more snow coming this week.

So the WWW knows tomorrow is the first day of weekly readings in SL of The Mark of a Druid. The readings will be live and be a pretty straight read with some sound effects for POV changes if I can get it set up in time. Then for the USA we will be doing a 5:00 PM SLT/PST play of the podcast. We don’t know how this schedule will go over or if I can get it set up correctly But I a excited about expanding my presents in SL.

This group is a charity organization that sponsors Children one paired one form northern Ireland and one from Southern Ireland for a summer spent in a American home in an effort to dispel old myths that there is a need for ancient hatreds of their surroundings. Happy Year and welcome to 2010 everyone.

I never know where my contest entries are going to come from and I am grateful to each of them for joining in the fun. But there is only one original piece of art and after making a list and cutting apart all the names from the entries and dropping them in a hat. My husband pulled the winner. I won’t give out their full names, but I will share with you their entry. They sent it in audio form. Listen closely and you will hear E and R give us a list of what they found hidden in the artwork.

It is so great that a brother and a sister, two kids, were so intent on picking out the images then recorded their entry because they can’t write yet!

Contest Time!

Rhonda R Carpenter, the author of The Mark of a Druid and co-host of Podioracket.com, has conducted an ongoing stream of contests. But this is it. This is the big one. This is the month where she awards the ultimate prize–the original oil on canvas artwork used as the cover for The Mark of the Druid. Painted by Amie Perry-Reavis this work was tittled Through The Void. Amie painted this astounding piece complete with hidden symbols and images from the book, the artwork will be awarded to one lucky contest participant.

The artist would not even tell Rhonda where all the hidden images were. So that is your job. Find and identify as many of the symbols, images people and places from the book in the art as you can. This is like gazing at clouds. I have found 10. How many will you find?

Then email info@themarkofadruid.com with your entry by Midnight Pst December 31, 2009. On January 1 2010 one lucky winner will be getting an email from me telling them they are the proud owner of an original Amie Perry-Reavis.
