This has been an extremely busy month. But I am excited to announce we have firm dates and a solid route for the move.

Take off day is June 24th and we hope to cover a lot of ground Watch my twitter feed for where we are stopping and how the trip is going. If you see me at a gas station, restaurant ect… Snap a picture and post it or twitter, facebook or myspace where I am and your name will go in the hat to win some cool scwage. I will be handing out bookmarks and books while on the rioad you could be a lucky winner just for being in the same place I am at the right time.

Some of the big cities we will be traveling through are: Barstow, CA, Flagstaff and Winslow, AZ, Gallop and Abuquerque, NM, Amerillo, TX, and Oklahoma City, OK. But there are lots of small cities all along the route.

I will be posting from my cell phone on the trip as obviously my computer will be off line. It iwll take a bit of time befor eI am set up again in the new place. Several ways to get into the contest that starts with the promo release the fist week of June. Then on June 24th we hit the road! This contest ends June 26th as we reach our destination.

1. Tweet @rhondacarpenter and let me know you are spreading the word about the contest.
2. Catch me on the road by following me either as I tweet and facbook about where I am as we drive across country.
3. We know for sure we will be spending the night in Kingman AZ!
4. Snap a pic of the convoy and tweet @rhondacarpenter or Facebook on my wall rhondacarpenter

6. Blog about the trip and tell me you did.

Here is what I am thinking: After you read this go sign up to follow me on Twitter @rhondacarpenter or Facebook also Rhondacarpenter that way you will be ready for what comes next.

In a few weeks I will be announcing GO for the push to get everyone to spread the word. If you are off our route you can watch my posts and catch me at a rest stop, gas station or honk if you pass me. I will be posting pictures of the caravan that will move our home from lovely Lake Arrowhead, Ca to Wilburton OK. If you don’t live on our route then you can still get you name into win by spreading the word and making sure I find out. If you spread the word on twitter then make sure @rhondacarpenter is in the tweet. If on facebook you can and you are my friend it will come up in my feed. I will  keep track as your names pile up in the drawing. I may also be using Google maps but need to upgrade my phone before we go. More on that later. I am also going to try and include folks on Second life. Sound fun? Sort of like where’s Waldo except with me and a big truck and a couple of passenger vehicles. I will line out a set of rules as we get closer to GO I just wanted to let you all know what was happening so you could get ready. There will be several ways to win but if you can get a pic of me on the road and there is a big prize. Below is our new driveway!

Have a look around the neighborhood. You will find many podcasters have taken up residence in the area. Contests number 12 is Live and it is all about AWE

What is AWE? It is the Autumn Writers Event held annually on Cookie Island. This is a place in Second Life where you can find new authors and established authors from all over the Real World or First Life.
I even set up a booth along with Heather Roulo, Arlene Radasky, Emerian Rich and many many others. Come check it out and win a real book.

Join me on SL at this event before it ends on Nov 1, 2009 then come by the new store front located in SL at 25 Guttenberg Alley on Book Island currently under construction. We are planning some really exciting stuff there including book readings from www.blogtalkradio.com/FreeAudioBookshelf.
